Ellen and Shawn's Wedding

Ellen and Shawn had beautiful weather, a fun bridal party, and lots of friends and family surrounding them on their wedding day.
I really couldn't have asked for more as their photographer.
I loved that Ellen set aside lots of time for as many photos as I wanted, and we got tons. Tons and tons, more than I typically have for a wedding day.
That being said I have never turned around wedding images this fast - maybe because I was sick and didn't feel good enough to do much other than sit in front of the computer and edit, or maybe because they were so cute I didn't want to stop, or maybe it is because I have found a better balance in booking less weddings.

Whatever the case, I love these images, and this couple.

Enjoy!

I love love love a first look!

So that is just the beginning...

What we have been doing in our spare time...

I am so excited to share some pics of our vintage camper remodel!!!!

I LOVE how it turned out! We took it on its first official trip this past weekend, and I STILL love everything about it! I think that says a lot.

All the credit goes to my amazing hubby - this project wouldn't have happened without him. He found this little gem in a stranger's backyard and bought it for me because he knew I have been wanting one just this size. It is 8x14 feet and perfect for the two of us to take camping... with the option to have company if we wanted.

We have also already used it in our back yard as a guest house a couple times, I mean who doesn't need a spare, spare bedroom?

Be forewarned the before pics are bad. Really really bad, and it smelled. Thankfully we were able to overlook that and see the potential. I am happy to say it doesn't stink anymore and it isn't dark and dingy either.

I would love to answer any questions you may have, so leave me a comment below!

Here is our 1973 Shasta Camper Trailer
We are calling her The Silver Bullet

On the inside we gutted everything. Ceiling, flooring, walls, plumbing. It all had to go.

My mom helped me sew the new cushion covers. She did a wonderful job!!!

Kenny made the dining table & I love it! It is rustic and durable, and folds down into the guest bed if wanted.

This is where we sleep in the camper. The sofa pulls out and is longer than our queen size bed at home and only slightly more narrow. Everyone always asks if Kenny (6ft 3in) can stretch out comfortably, and the answer is yes, easily.

We added this ac unit & it works perfect for this little space. Most the time we don't need it but if we do it cools the camper down really fast!

I love the little kitchen area & the overhead shelf is super practical, in addition to cute. We didn't want plumbing so the overhead water storage with a spigot was the way to go. Under the sink is a large 8 gallon tub we can take outside to empty.

Everyone thought I was crazy for this next part but it is one of my favorite details. Kenny poured me a concrete countertop! Then he stained and sealed it and now it looks like a beautiful slab of stone... which essentially it is. I think it is well worth the extra weight and it was cost effective too!

Initially I wanted to go with navy fabric to cover the cushions, but that color was all sold out online. So I went with the next best thing, royal blue. I have to admit... I panicked a little bit when it came in the mail, I didn't expect it to be so bright. But after we got everything it broke up the color a little and I love it. It really brightens it up and makes it cheery.

AND here are the before photos.

In case you were wondering, yes that is camo duct tape. Not the decor style I had in mind so it had to go.

Dirty shag carpet, also had to go.

Stove and fridge didn't work so they had to go too.
When camping last weekend we just used a cooler with a few frozen gallon jugs of water in it and they were still half frozen when we got home!

It had a toilet/shower stall but we found at least 10 burst sections of the copper pipe, so we decided to completely eliminate the plumbing. Bye bye bathroom.

Well there you have it. We love our little camper and hope to take it on many little adventures!

Thanks for looking at some of my work. I would love to do photos for you. If you have any questions or want to set up a session, please send me an email. I would love to hear from you!
